For those of us who are outnumbered by the other faction, and are constantly battling, we often run out of gear faster than we can keep up. Not every Ingress player experiences this, some play casually, or some just have not much of a workload due to having a large team at hand. But for us, its 24/7 and its usually a thankless job, although there is satisfaction in knowing that you are contributing to your team anyway. Also, for us, we just can't farm- either due to having no team members around to build up portals, or because of life situations... And we go through gear like water! Having a service like this truly helps us, the fighting underdogs of each faction, be able to keep up the good fight. Some may not think its fair, whatever. It benefits the hardest workers of the team, regardless of faction. Good store, good people.
